The Ravenel Bridge holds the whole harbor together — cable, current, and the last light before the marsh goes dark. This one's shot from across the water, where the haze does half the work for you.

No filter chases this color. It shows up for about ten minutes most evenings, if the humidity's right.

Bobby Kalman is a Charleston-based photographer working mostly at the edges of the day — early water, late bridges, the marsh right as the tide turns. Most of the work happens outdoors, on foot, with whatever light shows up.
